From June 24-26, 2022, public defenders and movement lawyers, organizers, artists, media and people with direct experience gathered at the Chicago Transformation Collab (CTC) Summit and Festival to celebrate Chicago, forge new common ground, foster coalition, and develop strategies for cultural, legal, and policy wins that will strengthen communities rather than continue to tear them apart.
The CTC soon became a coalition – the Chicago Coalition for Intercommunalism (CCIC) – now responding to the urgency of the crises in Chicago by developing narrative and political alignment, while galvanizing individuals and organizations through narrative work, personal and political development, sustainable job opportunities, and the celebration of intentional music, dance, and the arts.
